Two halls house over a century's worth of lovingly restored public transport history; the collection is one of the largest of its kind. The timeline starts with a 19th-century horse-drawn carriage and concludes with a Metrolink tram.

Excellent, a totally unexpected surprise. My youngest boy was doing a school project on 'transport', so I took him and his older brother to see if there was anything of interest. I expected to be there about twenty minutes, so although I had to pay £4 to get in I was glad that kids are free. But actually we were there nearly two hours and we could of stayed longer if we didn'ty have to get back home. Loads of lovely old buses, we could get on board quite a few of them too. Very friendly staff, one of them said it's a voluntary charity, well if it is they've done a great job. I'm not a bus freak, but it was really interesting and I'm going to come back with my husband for another look. Highly recommended.
