Hearty fish stew, penne with Italian sausage, Lancashire cheese and onion pie - the only complicated thing about the menu at this converted quayside tool-shed is that you'll have a hard time working out what you should choose to eat. There is another equally brilliant, if less architecturally interesting, branch of the restaurant simply called Albert's located in West Didsbury, on Barlow Moor Road.

i've eaten at both branches and always found them to have extremely dependable food and service standards and great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
