Abdul's review 4 Users say 3/5 Rate it

When people leave Manchester, Abdul's often appears on the list of things that they'll miss. This is no mere nostalgia-driven regret - the food here is in a different galaxy to the standard greasy post-pub kebab. Think spicy-tikka chunks of flame-grilled chicken served in fresh naan with salad and sauces. Manchester loves Abdul's - and with good reason.

Fantastic, authentic cuisine. I concur with the last review, if you want chicken and burgers then go somewhere else. If you want to experience asian cuisine, then give this excellent place a try.

All those others are talking nonsense. Abduls is awesome, so is Saajan, although the nice old guy isn't there any more, he used to throw in a free Irn Bru.

Regarding the other comments:
AM - if you want a burger go to McDonalds, it's not what Abduls is all about.
Dom - Being a student does not make you a food critic, unless you're doing a cooking course at the Toast Rack, and if so you don't really need to do a course to learn how to cook, you can learn this at home.
George - use some capitals.

You get a good amount for the cost, the meat is grilled well infront of you, the salad is fresh and plentiful if you want it, and the sauces are amazing. The naan does appear magically from the back room, but who gives two hoots. (Two Hoots by Joseph Holts is also amazing).

And everyone lived happily ever after.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST VIEWED! Abdul's is one of the worst take away shops in Manchester. Check out Chicken king a few doors down, or Mega Chicken towards Fallowfield, I'm a student I know these things.

I hesitate to give Abduls even one star, but that is the lowest I can go on here. I've just been to Abdul's and ordered chips, a fish burger and a cheeseburger. The chips were fine. The fish burger was really bad and seemed like it had been refried. The cheeseburger had one long hair in the polstyrene tray it came in, and a short hair in the actual burger. After we had noticed the hairs we went to the counter to complain. They were completely unsympathetic, didn't apologise, didn't offer us a refund. So on top of bad food with hairs in, the customer service was awful. I understand that it is a cheap takeway, so I expect that the it's not going to be fine dining, but I expect it to be edible and not to have hairs in at the least. After that I seriously question their hygiene standards. I would not recommend this franchise of Abduls at all.
