The stadium of the world's most famous football team may not be in the most glamorous of locations, but it nevertheless has the Premier League's largest capacity, recently expanded to 76,000.
If you can't get your mitts on a match-day ticket (they're extremely hard to get hold of without a season ticket), console yourself in United's impressive museum. Kids can try to kick the ball as hard as Wayne Rooney (a high-tech machine measures maximum velocity - they'll have to top 77mph to beat United's star players), or trot down the players' tunnel as part of the popular behind-the-scenes tour (book in advance; tickets can be bought via the website).
