This venue quietly hosts some of the city's best literary events. Its concert hall is home to the Quatuor Danel string quartet (which often gives free lunchtime concerts), while the John Thaw Studio Theatre holds a reading series that has in the past featured such literary luminaries as Will Self, John Banville and Martin Amis.
