One of the UKs leading regional arts festivals returns to leafy Chorlton in May, from the 15th to the 24th, celebrating 15 years with a line up choc-a-block with performance, music, comedy and art.

As usual there's a huge programme of events, so Time Out Manchester has selected some of the highlights to whet your whistle.

For full details of the festival, visit the Chorlton Arts Festival website.

Sun May 17

See a play on a tram, exploring both the city itself and the relationships we make with those around us. Making a round trip along the newly opened line from Chorlton to Manchester Airport, Shred Productions will be bringing you quite a different ride.
