Waxy O'Connor's review Rate it
Straight out of a James Joyce novel, Waxy's has a bar imported from Ireland and authentic millwork decor. It caused a stir in South Beach when it opened across from Irish mainstay Playwright; the Edge, if you will, to Waxy's more polished Bono. The pub grub is complemented by a pool table and eight plasma TVs showing football and rugby. It's only a matter of time before the new-car smell from the rich leather bar stools wears off.
