Imagine your best friend's basement c1979, throw in some Japanese animé and, oh yeah, move it up to the second floor, and you've got this oasis of kitsch, featuring green and orange crushed velvet couches, concert posters and toys in glass cases. DJs spin everything from hiphop to bar mitzvah faves. Best of all, the place is hard to find, so you won't see any white-sock-and-black-shoe-clad tourists, unless they dressed like that for the funk factor and know exactly where they are. On Thursdays, there is a busy gay night called 'the Simple Life', hosted by gay mover and shaker Edison Farrow and his SoBe social club.
