Imagine your best friend’s basement circa 1979, throw in some Japanese anime, move it up to the second floor, and you’ve got this oasis of kitsch complete with green and orange crushed velvet couches, concert posters and toys in glass cases. DJs spin everything from hip-hop to bar mitzvah faves. Best of all, the place is hard to find, so you won’t see any white-sock-and-black-shoe tourists, unless they dressed like that for the funk factor and know exactly where they are.
