The glamour girl of the South Beach Group stable, the Whitelaw is the epitome of cheap chic. The gaudy lobby bar sets the playful tone: a black Venetian chandelier, hot pink drapes, shag rug and glitzy Versailles-style furniture. The paisley ceiling ups the decorative volume further. It's a riotous setting for the raucous happy hour, when the party crowd quaffs complimentary cocktails. The bedrooms are similarly loud: expect chandeliers and fuchsia walls, along with ostentatious white leather headboards and big flat-screen TVs; stark white sheets inject a touch of minimalism. Service is iffy, but staff are friendly and plugged into the scene (guests get free access to certain clubs). There are also free transfers to the airport.
