Trump Grand review Rate it
Named after Donald Trump, one of the hotel's backers, this high-rise resort certainly feels a bit corporate; the brash Donald name is not exactly a selling point either. That said, the hotel combines polish with a lack of pretension, there is a real international vibe, and the multilingual staff are impressive. Located up in Sunny Isles, it's far from the hubbub. And, despite the sea of condos being constructed all around, it boasts a pristine section of beach, overlooked by a lavish grotto-style swimming pool with luxury cabanas. The unspoiled Haulover Beach Park, with its nudist section, is nearby, and there is a shuttle bus to the shopping meccas of Bal Harbour and Aventura mall. Bedrooms are classy affairs: earth tones and granite bathrooms, distinguished by dreamy pillowtop mattresses and balconies. At the Aquanox spa, you can have your body scrubbed with a mojito. Neomi's Grill, the plush peach restaurant, is surprisingly empty, given the innovative New American cuisine, but it deserves a try.
