La Marea at the Tides review Rate it
Designer Kelly Wearstler has fashioned an ethereal homage to the beach at sunset. The soothing aesthetic - peach, beige, ivory and pink hues - is a classy respite from tawdry Ocean Drive. A wall of faux-tortoise shells lends a natural vibe, as do shells, driftwood and stones. Sheer silk drapes add sensuality. Too bad the cuisine - ambitious but average nouveau Italian seafood - pales next to the decor. Here's hoping it improves.
