If anyone deserves to have a restaurant named after them, it's Allen Susser, reigning king of a New World style of cooking he calls 'palm tree cuisine'. The food at his restaurant is otherworldly: fantastic fish and meat with exotic ingredients such as Key limes and mangoes. Special tasting menus make for a great way to sample lots of different flavours. It may be way the hell up in Aventura, but it is certainly worth the long haul.
