MLP is known for bringing both avant-garde and stalwart performers to Miami. Past visitors have included Laurie Anderson, Los Muñequitos de Matanzas and Danny Hoch. One annual favourite is the Here & Now Festival (March) showcasing cutting-edge works-in-progress by local performers.
