The meraviglie - or wonders - that await the guest at this lovely B&B, just off via Dante, are six inviting rooms with bright white beds, lavish silk curtains and fresh flowers. (The bathrooms, on the other hand, are run of the mill, with basic showers and large bottles of everyday unctions.) Despite it being set in a converted townhouse, with plenty of olde-worlde character, there are also up-to-date touches such as free Wi-Fi connection in each room (though not all have a TV).
If you're planning to stay in town for a while, you might consider the Milanosuites, also run by Paola Ora and her team. These mini-apartments, complete with cooking facilities, are available by the week or the month. They also own the Antica Locanda dei Mercanti next door, a less expensive, slightly more twee, option.
