Museo del Cinema review

Reached through a little gate at the side of the late 17th-century Palazzo Dugnani, Milan's cinema museum may be small, but Hitchcock and Capra were reportedly among its fans. Highlights of the collection include early Italian forays into moving pictures, such as the 17th-century Venetian contraption mondo novo, which allowed viewers to see images on perforated coloured prints by candlelight, the Lumière brothers' works and original sketches by Luchino Visconti for his film Senso.
