This Sicilian seafood specialist feels like a gentleman's club: past the golden doorbell and leather chesterfields lies an extremely elegant dining room (with pianist). At €8, the coperto is pricey, but it entitles you to an amuse-bouche of seabass carpaccio, tuna tartare and heavenly breadsticks. Better value and more creative than the set menus is the à la carte selection; the piatto crudo (platter of raw langoustine, swordfish carpaccio, plump red shrimp and squid) is sublime. There's a pile of lemons and chopping knife on each table: it must be a Sicilian thing.
