The slogan on the awning at Bar della Crocetta is 'dove il panino è arte' (where the sandwich is art). The menu lists over 100 panini, but you're welcome to peruse the list of ingredients (which range from prosciutto to wild venison) and order exactly what you fancy. The place is very easygoing - which means that you may occasionally be forgotten if you're lurking somewhere out of sight.

Hi, I'll be travelling in Italy and stop by Milan for half a day and would love to taste those paninis at Bar Della Crocetta. When it says "Closed 2 weeks in August" When exactly will it be open? I'll be there on the 16th August. Thanks for replying! ;)
Try the Viking, with crudo made from wild boar. I was brought here by my language teacher, the decor is nothing but the food is superb.
