Parco del Poggio di Capodimonte

Parco del Poggio di Capodimonte review Rate it

This unusual site opened in 2000, and swiftly became a local favourite. The park clings to an exposed hillside above the city ring road, offering little protection against sun or heavy rain (a notice at the entrance explains that the park may close during thunderstorms). There's a dramatic view over the palace at Capodimonte and out across the bay. The park has play facilities, smooth expanses of grass, a lake and lots of seating, making it an excellent place for energetic kids and frazzled parents.
