Housed in a former convent dating from 1600, this hotel has been restored with an accent on the monastic, but ample comfort for its guests. Wood-beamed ceilings, plain, creamy white walls and grey stone floors dominate. The rooms (or 'cells', as they're known) are spacious, and some have a small terrace. The hotel, set just off the shopping street of Via Toledo, is handy for the port and all main sights; although it's in the Quartieri Spagnoli, it's safe enough. There are discounts for family groups.
