Appleseeds Party

These 15 venues make party planning super easy for parents—bashes include invitations, favors and everything in between.

Apple Seeds
These all-inclusive parties start off with free play in the sports room, followed by Apple Seeds' creatively themed activities (Welcome to the Jungle, Princess and Pirates Costume Party, Build It! Break It! Fix It!). Included in the party package is an in-house party planner, who can also customize a celebration based on your child's interests. If you're feeling generous, rent the entire playground for an after-hours extravaganza on Saturdays and Sundays at 4:30pm ($1,950 and up). 10 W 25th St between Sixth Ave and Broadway (212-792-7590, appleseedsnyc.com). Prices start at $890 for up to ten children. Ages 1 to 6.

Beehives & Buzzcuts
Parents and kids choose a theme (anything from Superhero Smash to Tropical Luau) and the salon staff takes care of decorating the 500-square-foot party room, as well as providing invitations, pizza, beverages, cake and goody bags. During the party youngsters participate in an activity tied to the overall theme. An extra fee will buy you salon services, or for a more intimate gathering, you can choose the BFF Spa Day package, which allows two girls to enjoy manicures, pedicures and hair styling together. 365 First Ave between 21st and 22nd Sts (646-476-6294, beehivesandbuzzcuts.com). Price start at $600 for 90 minutes and up to ten children; additional children $20 apiece. Ages 1 to 10.

Children's Museum of Manhattan
CMOM offers a variety of parties specifically designed for different age groups. The youngest partygoers can listen to lullabies from around the world, while older kids have the chance to interact with some of the museum's most popular exhibits. Highlights include the Dora and Diego party, where kids help the Nick Jr. stars on an animal-rescue mission, and the PlayWorks party, where little ones pretend to cook meals and construct buildings. Packages include pizza, juice, cake, favors, an art project, educators, invitations, decorations and all-day museum admission for guests. 212 W 83rd St between Amsterdam Ave and Broadway (212-721-1223, ext 219; cmom.org). Prices start at $775 for up to 12 children; additional children $18 apiece. Ages 1 to 8.

Citibabes
The 1,500-square-foot kids' club opens its doors to nonmembers for its birthday bashes. Kids have plenty of themes to choose from, including Pirates and Princesses, Under the Sea, Barnyard Buddy, Jungle Safari and Circus, and they can take advantage of the space's indoor playground for an additional $250. The basic package includes food, cupcakes, decorations, paper goods, party favors, a party leader, setup and cleanup. 54 Mercer St between Broome and Grand Sts, third floor (212-334-5440, citibabes.com). Prices start at $1,360 for up to 15 children; additional children $35 apiece. Ages 10 and under.

Cookie Party
At this all-inclusive event youngsters decorate aprons before learning how to make cookies. While their sweet creations are in the oven, partygoers chow down on pizza, juice and cupcakes. Kids decorate their cookies with icing and toppings once they're baked, and play a cookie-related game. All children leave with goody bags. Toys"R"Us, 1514 Broadway at 44th St (973-585-6066, cookieparty.us). Prices start at $249 for ten kids, additional children $22 apiece; minimum of ten children, maximum of 24. Ages 4 and up.

Creative Dream Parties
This 3,000-square-foot facility hosts more than 30 themed parties; favorites include Crazy Carnival and Pirate/Princess Treasure Adventure. Expect limbo and cha-cha-ing, music, a bubble machine, parachute play and other lively activities. Food, beverages, cake, music and invitations are supplied in the basic party package. 25 Waterside Plaza between E 23rd St and FDR Dr (212-447-7263, creativedreamparties.com). Prices start at $599 for 90 minutes for up to ten children; additional children $25 apiece. Ages 2 to 10.

Deb's Family Disco
At this retro discotheque, dancers help guests choreograph their moves before they take to the dance floor. The DJ spins whatever the birthday kid requests, and guests get the mike for the de rigueur "Happy Birthday" chorus. Food, cake and "sparkle artists" who hand out glitter, body gems and tattoos are included. Face painters, caricaturists and balloon sculptors can join the celebration for an additional charge. 135 W 41st St between Broadway and Sixth Ave (212-586-7425, familydisco.com). Prices start at $1,385 for up to 15 children; additional children $20 apiece. Ages 3 and up.

Dylan's Candy Bar
The mother of all sweets shops offers two age-appropriate parties: Sugar Babies—for children celebrating their first, second or third birthday—and Sweetie Pie, for kids ages three and up. Both options include food, decor, cake and a gift bag for the guest of honor, plus a candy spree, games, and the use of a cotton-candy or popcorn machine. Older children also get to do a craft—options include candy-jewelry making and gumball-machine embellishment. A dessert bar can be tacked on for an additional fee. 1011 Third Ave at 60th St (646-735-0078, dylanscandybar.com). Prices start at $100 per guest; minimum of 10–25 children depending on the type of party. Ages 1 and up.

Frames
Parties at this bowling alley begin with an hour of ten-pin (bumpers are available) and end with an hour of eating and celebrating. The best part: Frames takes care of the food and decorations. 550 Ninth Ave at 40th St, second floor (212-268-6909, framesnyc.com). Prices start at $25 per child; minimum five children.

Frolic
Little ones select from themes like Guitars and Rock Stars, where children jam to their favorite music videos, or I Love Pop Art, which invites guests to create Warhol- and Lichtenstein-inspired art at this Williamsburg play space. The bash comes with a birthday-party crew, large party room, themed favors, decorations, pizza and juice, cake or cupcakes, and e-mail invites. 34 North 6th St at Kent Ave, Williamsburg, Brooklyn (718-388-3100, frolicplayspace.com). Prices start at $750 for 90 minutes for up to 11 children. Ages 6 and under.

Kidville
Get creative with Kidville's whopping 19 birthday-party themes, like the Jumpin' Gym Party, Dino-Mite Party and Fairy Princess Party, to name a few. Basic packages include a 90-minute celebration for ten children, invitations, pizza and juice, cake, party favors and balloons. At certain locations, the Big Blowout Party kicks it up a notch by adding a Jumpy Castle (a kid favorite), an event at the art table and an additional ten guests. Visit kidville.com for locations. Prices start at $895 for up to ten kids. Ages 9 and under.

Little Shop of Crafts
This arts-and-crafts spot's options run the gamut—young guests can paint pottery, design a mosaic, decorate a T-shirt or stuff their own animal pal. Best of all, each celebration is all-inclusive: Invitations, paper goods, pizza, cake, crafts, beverages, balloons, karaoke, face painting, cleanup and a supervised lesson are all part of the deal. •431 E 73rd St between First and York Aves (212-717-6636, littleshopny.com). •711 Amsterdam Ave between 94th and 95th Sts (212-531-2723). Prices start at $580 for up to ten children; additional children $30 apiece. Ages 3 and up.

The New York Hall of Science
Kids explore principles of motion, balance, sound and sight at the Science Playground Adventures party; at the Gross Out science bash, children concoct their own slime. Other options include Fluttering Butterflies, Cool Chemists and Magic & Science. Parties run up to two hours and include hot dogs or chicken fingers, cake and a goody bag. 47-01 111th St at 47th Ave, Flushing Meadows--Corona Park, Queens (718-699-0005, ext 353; nyscience.org). Prices start at $675 for up to 12 kids; additional children $20 apiece. Ages 4 and up.

Queens County Farm Museum
Give city kids a country-style bash with this party, available from April through October. In addition to covering the basics (pizza, food, drinks, a personalized cake, paper goods, favors and invitations), the package offers kids a chance to tour the farmyard and take a tractor-drawn hayride. Plus, who celebrate their birthday in October can add a visit to the corn maze and the pumpkin patch to the mix. 73-50 Little Neck Pkwy at Union Tpke, Floral Park, Queens (718-347-3276, queensfarm.org). Prices start at $450 for 20 children, additional children $20 apiece; minimum of 20 children. Ages 5 to 11.

Scribble Press
Future authors and illustrators will feel right at home at these literary spots, where each attendee makes his own creative project—such as a book, calendar or place mat—to take home. Plus, partygoers collaborate on a special Guest of Honor book for the birthday child. Scribble Press provides a party leader and assistant, invitations, pizza, juice, cake, paper goods, balloons and thank-you cards. A custom theme and additional balloons cost extra. •1624 First Ave between 84th and 85th Sts (212-288-2928, scribblepress.com). •217 W 84th St at Broadway (212-362-2555).
