Partiers spend their first hour stretching, striking playful poses and playing yoga games to fun music based on their choice of theme (which could be anything from frozen pajama party to superheroes).The last half hour is dedicated to party time, where professionally-trained instructors and a hostess handle the pizza, organic juice and paper products (yoga equipment is also provided); parents must bring the cake. Kids put their culinary skills to the test by making a personal pizza from scratch. All partygoers receive a recipe card, a complimentary class pass, and a chef’s hat to decorate; the birthday child takes home an apron and a T-shirt, to boot. Additionally, YCA supplies the invitations, paper goods, balloons and drinks. Upgraded packages include cupcake or sundae decorating ($475), and children ages 9 and up can opt to make something other than pizza, such as pasta, calzone or enchiladas ($399–$550). Ages 4 to 18.
