Every year, comic fanatics of all ages snatch up tickets to New York Comic Con, and it's not rare to see more adults than kids flocking to the massive expo, dressed up as Batman, TARDIS and beyond. Tickets are sold out for Comic Con 2015, but companion festival New York Super Week has tons of kid-friendly events on offer. From October 5–11, families can hit up cool concerts, live performances and even a sci-fi/fantasy spelling bee to get their comic fix. Read up on the events below and grab tickets, then head to the top costume stores in NYC to find some geeky garb. If you're looking for even more hero-themed entertainment, check out "Superheroes in Gotham" opening at the New-York Historical Society during Super Week!

ESL One at New York Super Week Eight of the world’s best Dota 2 teams descend on MSG to battle it out in a multiplayer online video game, competing for $250,000 in prize money.
