Attention dinosaur fanatics: There are just 5 days left to visit Field Station: Dinosaurs in Secaucus, NJ before the outdoor expedition goes extinct! With 32 life-size animatronic dinosaurs scattered throughout the grounds at New Jersey Meadowlands, it's one of the most unique amusement parks near NYC. Families encounter Stegosaurus, Triceratops and many more species which move and make sound as visitors wander past, making it feel like you're really walking among the prehistoric creatures. Visiting this theme park is one of our favorite things to do with dinosaur-loving kids, so head out for one last trip—Field Station: Dinosaurs is open from 10am–6pm daily through Monday, September 7. Here are five things to do on your final visit!

1. Catch a screening of Walking with Dinosaurs: Prehistoric Planet 3D, a way-cool movie that follows a herd of plant-eating dinos through the seasons in Cretaceous Alaska. Screenings occur every 30 minutes throughout the day.

2. Stop in at the Paleontologists' Laboratory, where youngsters can get in on a fun fossil dig. They'll even get to take home their Mesozoic discoveries in a souvenir pouch!

3. Meet Dino Don at the final Super Star of Science event on Saturday, September 5. Meet at The Lookout at 1pm or 2:30pm for a presentation on creatures that lived during the Mesozoic Era. Don is a paleontology pro who advised Steven Spielberg throughout the creation of Jurassic Park.

4. Once the kids have worked up an appetite, have lunch among the dinosaurs! You can bring your own food to eat at The Fire Pit's outdoor picnic table area (no hard coolers allowed), or grab a bite from the Dino Dogs and Bronto Burger stands. Choices include hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, and snack like pretzels, popcorn and churros.

5. Take a dino selfie! With so many awesome creatures around, the kids will definitely want to snap a photo with the Velociraptor or T.Rex.

Day pass $17.50, children under 2 free; Explorer's pass $22.50 (includes 3D movie screening); Commander's Pass $42.50 (includes access to Commander's Tent and Paleontologists' Laboratory). Add-ons: 3D movie $5, Paleontologists' Lab $10. For more information visit fieldstationdinosaurs.com.
