Bija Kids Spring Break Camp

Tots test their flexibility in indoor and outdoor yoga, listen to stories, do crafts, and have time for both self-directed and structured group play. Brooklyn Design Lab: Bookmaking Studio

In this bookmaking camp, participants explore different techniques like stitched binding and accordion books. Students will make books for different purposes, experiment with reclaimed papers, and create their own cover art. Camp runs Mon Mar 25–Fri Mar 29 9am–11am. Center for Architecture Foundation: Treehouses and Digital Design Treehouses

Kids in grades 3 to 5 craft a mini tree using wood, wire and paper, then build a one-of-a-kind treehouse to nestle in its branches. Older kids (in grades 6 to 9) learn how to use Trimble SketchUp to create their own digital treehouse and landscape. Camp runs Tue Mar 19–Thu Mar 21 and Tue Mar 26 to Thu Mar 28, 9am–4pm. $300. Children's Museum of the Arts: Art Colony

Kids choose from three spring break camps. Claymation lets tots experiment with wire, paper, fabric and clay and use iStopmotion software to make their own animations. In Bookmaking, campers make, dye and print their very own paper before using various bookmaking techniques to create a unique journal. Animated Shorts introduces tots to stop motion animation like claymation, paper cut-out and pixilation. Camp runs Mon Mar 18–Fri Mar 22 (Claymation and Bookmaking) Mon Mar 22–Mar 25 (Animated Shorts) 9am–5pm. $595. Ages 6 to 12.

City Sculpting Spring Break Camp

Among the cool 3-D projects on tap for City Sculpting campers are papier mache, life casting, relief tile sculpting and mosaics. Regular painting and drawing are in the mix as well. The day is divided into three art-making sessions, punctuated by lunch (kids bring their own) and a snack. Mon Mar 25–Fri Mar 29, 9am–3pm.$450, drop-in rate $90 per day. HiArt! Crazie Mazie Holiday Art Camp

If you have a mini artist in your household, get her over to Hi Art! for spring break. Appealing to kids of all ages and abilities, this mini-camp offers art lessons in disciplines ranging from manga and anime to painting, mixed media and sculpture. New Victory Theater: Circus Kids Week

Movers can get their groove on at this eclectic program, which offers a plethora of offbeat physical activities, including yoga, dance and meditation, as well as more restful fun, such as arts and crafts and nutrition. “Swing into Spring” (Mar 18–22) for grades 1 through 6 and “March Madness” (Mar 25–29) for grades 1–3 and 4–8 lets budding thespians create and star in an original mini-musical. Campers collaborate on a plot and songs around the theme of spring. At the end of the week, the kids perform the show for family and friends. Take Two Film Academy Spring Break Camp

Kids team up to write, act in and shoot their own short films. By the end of the week, participants will have a DVD reel of their work, which will automatically be submitted to the New York International Children's Film Festival.
