Artscape at Harlem School of the Arts

Campers immerse themselves in dance, music, theater or visual arts activities that fit the session’s theme, rotating to a different concentration each day. When they’re not flexing their artistic muscles, kids take dips in the pool and embark on field trips to local institutions. At the end of the session, the hard workers put on a performance showcasing their skills. Camp runs July 7–Aug 15, Mon–Fri 8:30am–4:30pm or 8:30am–noon. Broadway Bootcamp at Drama Llama

After debuting last year, the Manhattan acting studio offers a peek inside the three pillars of a thespian’s work: auditioning, rehearsing and performing. After an hour-long lunch break, Broadway vets (actors will be announced the week before camp) lead a master class where kids learn a musical number or scene from their show. Broadway Bound Kids Camp

This camp for show-tunes-loving kids offers three exciting programs. During Gleek Week, campers become part of a summer glee club, singing pop songs and learning choreography for a showcase at the end of the week. Mini Gleek Week is now available for ages 6–9. In a brand new two-week camp, Kids On Broadway, students perform in an original musical review featuring songs from Broadway shows, movie musicals and animated hits. This year's summer show is Into The Woods—participants ages 9 to 16 mount a full-scale version of the Broadway musical. Gleek Week runs June 30-July 3, 9:30am–2:30pm. 4-day session $425. Kids on Broadway runs July 16-27 and July 7-18; Mon–Fri 9:30am–2:30pm. In Shining Stars (ages 6 to 9), campers learn song-and-dance routines in preparation for a showcase.  Young campers ready to take on a full day can now opt for Shining Stars Act II, an extended program running in the afternoons. Older kids (ages 10 to 17) work with pros on singing, acting and dancing. They even attend a Broadway matinee, followed by a Q&A with the show’s cast and creative team. Four Corners Adventures on Stage

Performers from The Lion King, Wicked, Jersey Boys and The Rockettes as well as professionals on staff share their expertise with aspiring performers. During the week campers rehearse a show, learn Broadway choreography and hip-hop dance routines and hone their acting skills. There is also plenty of time to be creative with crafts and games. Kaufman Music Center Musical Theater Workshop

Campers work in age-appropriate groups, under the direction of theater vets, to produce and perform an original musical. Mornings are designated for acting, singing, and movement classes, while musical rehearsals take place in the afternoons. New Victory Theater's Theater Kids Week

Led by members of the New Victory Teaching Artist Ensemble, kids learn about all aspects of play production during one-week sessions designed to help them discover new skills, hidden talents and the thrill of performance.
