Paloma, I love your room. You share it with your older brother, right?
Yeah, we play together. But he messed up my dollhouse.
And did you draw that rocket ship yourself?
I drew it in preschool. We also made all the planets in the solar system.
Very cool! What's your favorite planet?
I like Saturn the best, because it has rings.
So will you be heading to space camp this summer?
What's space camp? I'm going back to the Central Park Zoo camp!
You must have really liked it if you're going for a second year. What did you do last year?
We made snacks for the kowari. It's a kind of animal. We also watched a 4-D movie and had some animal guests: a turtle, a raccoon and a hissing cockroach.
Eew! A hissing cockroach?
Yeah, we got to touch it! We washed our hands after.
What's your favorite animal at the zoo?
I like the polar bears, because my favorite color is white. We got to feed them in camp.
Have you been to any other summer camps?
I went to Taste Buds once. We made spaghetti-flavored cupcakes and my apron got dirty.
