Enjoy an interactive reading in which kids will learn a lesson on environmental awareness. The story goes like this: Each year, a Bhutanese boy named Kinga and his classmates await the return of the black-necked cranes to the valley in their Bhutan kingdom. They notice that fewer cranes arrive each year due to harmful environmental impacts. Kinga and his friends put together a dance to honor the cranes and encourage the Bhutanese people to care for the birds. Following the reading, kids will paint their own paper cranes to take home. All ages.
