Mom and Dad get in for free this weekend (children under 18 always enjoy gratis admission) at the New Museum of Contemporary Art to fete the just-opened exhibit "", featuring a 102-foot-long slide, a mirrored carousel and the chance to lie down inside an aquarium. After interacting with the displays, visitors can channel the artist's themes of children and the future by making posters, signs and flyers depicting their own ideas about what lies ahead. Before you go, check out our roundup of six things not to miss at the exhibit. And if you're inspired, start planning ahead for other museum family days in November. Sat Nov 5 10am--noon. New Museum of Contemporary Art, 235 Bowery at Prince St (213-219-1222, newmusuem.org). Free.
