Score free Coolhaus ice-cream sandwiches from April 29 to May 2
Fri Apr 29 2011
Cool down this weekend with Coolhaus, New York's latest tasty L.A. import. The mod ice-cream-sandwich truck has found its way to the Big Apple, and is about to start serving up its famed architecturally inspired sammies, like the Frank Behry (strawberry ice cream on a sugar cookie) and the I.M. Peinut (peanut butter ice cream on a chocolate cookie). A New York sandwich is in the works—the High Line, a key lime pie tribute to the Chelsea landmark, will debut later in May, just in time for summer. Starting tomorrow, Coolhaus hits the city with free ice-cream sandwiches for all, thanks to a very cool collaboration with Firefox's Android browser promo. Swing by the truck's various Manhattan stops this weekend to savor a Foxy Brown (Nutella ice cream on an oatmeal cookie), a Beta (Earl Grey ice cream on a brioche cookie) or a Mozilli Vanilli (vanilla ice cream on a chocolate chip cookie), for a snack on the haus. Fri Apr 29 noon--4pm: Grand St at Lafayette St; Sat Apr 30 noon--4pm: Bryant Park; Sun May 1 noon--4pm: Union Square near 16th St; Mon May 2 noon--4pm: Madison Square Park (eatcoolhaus.com/new-york).
