Earth Day Indoors at Grand Central Terminal
The Big Apple's most famous station showcases green technology, sustainable fashion, and other displays and activity stations by eco-friendly brands like Toshiba, Anvil and Odwalla that encourage New Yorkers to become more conscious consumers. Thu Apr 19 10am--7pm. Grand Central Terminal, Main Concourse. Free. All ages.

Holiday Crafts: Earth Day 
In the middle of Manhattan's largest green space, kids can fashion their own colorful paper flowers with stems made out of twigs and branches found in the park. Thu Apr 19 2--4pm. Chess and Checkers House, Central Park, midpark at 64th St (centralparknyc.org). Subway: 6 to 68th St--Hunter College. Free. Ages 4 and up. 

Stories, Songs and Activities That Celebrate Our Earth
Storyteller Regina Ress performs during this afternoon of stories and songs from native cultures around the world, all of which express the bond between Earth and its inhabitants. Thu Apr 19 at 4pm.
