This musical traces the path of African American history, from slavery to the civil rights movement to the modern day, using the quilts, or “show ways,” sewed and passed down by seven generations of women. This story of bravery and hope is based on the Newbery Honor-winning book by Jacqueline Woodson. Ages 3 to 10.
