6 free things to do in NYC with kids this week: September 9–13

This week, kick off Little Italy’s annual Feast of San Gennaro, find a new free outdoor movie series and pay tribute to September 11.

This week's no-cost activities include a 12-day festival in the streets of Little Italy (cannoli-eating competition included), a cool exhibit at the NYSCI (it's free through Monday!) and one last outdoor film series on Staten Island. Plus, use the historic date as an occasion to honor those we lost on September 11 at the National 9/11 Memorial and Museum. Good luck heading back to the classroom.
