A Midsummer Night's Dream

The beat of marimbas, djembes, and ululation drive thie kid-friendly, operatic twist on Shakespeare's tale of unrequited love, weaving African folklore and dance into a mesmerizing show from the award-winning Isago Ensemble from South Africa. Kids will get into this fairy-driven story thanks to the amazing masks and costumes and the rapturous harmonies of the ensemble, led by that mischevious pixie Puck. Let budding bards dream up their own versions of classic tales during a "Shakespeare Reimagined!" family workshop on November 8 (2:30pm, $17 per kid). Ages 9 and up.
