Adoptapalooza

If our four-legged friends make your heart go pitter-patter, head to Union Square Park, where the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals and the Petco Foundation will be on hand for dog and cat adoptions. Expect practical services like microchipping, an ask-the-vet booth and spay/neuter information, too. After they've picked out a new friend, little ones can get their face painted or score caricatures, tattoos and balloon sculptures in the Kids Korner. Ages 5 and up.
