Central Park Conservancy: Chess Lecture and Simul Series

Chess lovers gather at Central Park's Chess and Checkers House to learn from the game's best and brighest at this free series. Pick up some techniques from Grandmaster Maxim Dlugy (July 16) and Grandmaster John Fedorowicz (Aug 27), then put your new knowledge into action in a simul. Previous chess experience is required, so make sure to brush up beforehand. Registration begins at 10am; the event kicks off at 11am. Ages 6 and up.
