Children's Day at the Brooklyn Book Festival

To mark its 10th anniversary, the Brooklyn Book Festival kicks off with a special tribute to little book lovers. Families with an appetite for picture books, chapter books and YA titles are invited to a full day of kids' lit, featuring beloved authors and illustrators like Kevin Henkes (creator of Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse), Edwidge Danticat, George O'Connor, Adam Rubin and Daniel Salmieri. Readings and book signings, plus puppet shows, music and a draw-off between illustrators will keep bookworms on the edge of their seat. Find new titles to take home, jump in on workshops and get a good night's sleep before Sunday's showstopper. Ages 2–11.
