Field Station: Dinosaurs

Back for the third summer in a row, 32 animatronic, life-size dinosaurs will roar and roam through Secaucus, New Jersey, starting Memorial Day weekend when Field Station: Dinosaurs reopens!

RECOMMENDED: 50 family-friendly spring happenings

Like its previous two seasons, the exhibit will have kids trekking on a nearly one mile–long trail through the New Jersey Meadowlands alongside massive, robotic dinos that move when visitors draw near (the 15-foot-tall T. rex even roars!). Families can also take part in supplementary games, workshops and activities along the way and visit an interactive dig site or settle in for the 3-D feature Dinosaurs Alive! Enthusiastic dino-lovers can also attend special events throughout the summer, including the Dozin' With Dinos overnight campout and Dinosaurs After Dark, where kids hear ghost stories, make 'smores and sing campfire songs right next to the prehistoric creatures.

The announcement arrives on the heels of word that animatronic dinosaurs will also return to the Bronx Zoo on April 12, thanks to the popularity of last summer’s “Dinosaur Safari” exhibit, as well as Dutch Wonderland, which will open their own Exploration Island filled with 15 of the robotic reptiles over Memorial Day weekend.

Tickets are on sale now and cost $25 for adults and $20 for children. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit fieldstationdinosaurs.com.
