"The Art of the Brick" at Discovery Times Square

All of a sudden, New York City's awash in fantastic new exhibitions for families. There's one in particular we can't wait to see: "The Art of the Brick," featuring the work of NYC-based artist Nathan Sawaya, which opens at Discovery Times Square on Friday, June 14. Each of the 100-plus, artful and inventive pieces on view is made entirely of Legos. The works are so breathtaking you can't imagine they're made of the ubiquitous plastic bricks. Yet because they are, they also have loads of inspirational appeal for kids. Click through our slide show, and if you like what you see, buy tickets. They're on sale now, and we're guessing this exhibit's going to be over-the-top popular.

"The Art of the Brick" runs through January 5, 2014.
