FREE EarthWeek: EarthFair

This three-day event, which includes screenings and exhibits in Vanderbilt Hall and Times Square, winds up with a two-day outdoor fest on Vanderbilt Avenue, featuring interactive displays, organic-food purveyors and live music acts that teach kids how easy it is to be green. All ages.
FREE Blooming Naturalists

Kids can follow their natural instincts on their quest to discover plant and animal life in the park. The budding wildlife experts will make nature journals and learn tools of the trade. Ages 6 and up.

Celebrate the (relatively) warm weather with this seed-planting workshop. Kids will learn all about the nascent shoots, from how they grow to which types can be planted at home. Then they'll make crafty creations using seeds. Ages 3 and up.

Fresh off an exhibit of his work at the Brooklyn Public Library, author-illustrator Brian Floca reads from some of his popular children's books—which include The Racecar Alphabet, Moonshot and Lightship—at the Soho boutique. Ages 8 and under.
FREE Storytime Yoga

In this musical play held outside the Clinton Hill shop, Pistachio—a girl made from "good" recycled materials—protects her community from "bad" (eco-unfriendly) garbage. Audience members are encouraged to sing and dance along with colorful puppets made from recycled materials. All ages.
