Friends Seminary Skateboard Camp

Kids don’t have to be X Games–bound in order to pick up pointers in this program. When they’re not practicing in the school’s rooftop skate park, campers travel to spots around the city, like Brooklyn Banks, Astoria Skate Park and Heliport Skate Park, where they work on balance, footwork, safety and basic tricks. More advanced students can tackle ramps, grind rails boxes and hit the quarter pipe. Also, expect surprise sessions with pro riders. Camp runs June 9–13, July 7–11, July 14–18; Mon–Fri 10am–noon. One-week session $395. Ages 5 to 11.
