Hispanic Festival: Focus on Puerto Rico

Join CMA for performances and workshops based on Puerto Rican cultural influences including Spanish, African, Taino Indian and American. Kids can learn about Puerto Rican culture through art workshops at the Clay Bar and Media Lab, make their own maps of the Caribbean, create collages inspired by petroglyphs found in caves in Puerto Rico and listen to popular music from the island in the Sound Booth. Stick around to watch Dr. Drum Jose Ortiz from the troupe BombaYo perform bomba music and get in on an interactive workshop. All ages.
