More than 100 artisans fill the tents of the midtown green oasis with everything from stuffed animals and puppets to
hand-knit sweaters and specialty snacks from local companies. After you’re done perusing the shops and buying holiday gifts, try out Citi Pond at Bryant Park, a free-admission skating rink, or lovely Le Carrousel, which spins year-round. Skating free, skate rental $14. All ages.

Go back in time at Winter on a Flatbush Farm

Little ones can prepare for winter just as farmers did in the 19th-century village of Flatbush, with hands-on activities such as crafting wax candles, stitching a patchwork quilt and preserving food for the cold months ahead. After all that work, ravenous kids can sample special Dutch treats straight from the outdoor hearth. For an added holiday bonus, St. Nicholas will visit on Sunday at 3pm. All ages.
