Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival

This annual sporting event celebrates the fifth moon (or fifth month) of the lunar calendar. Wee ones will get a kick out of the colorful, dragon-shaped vessels racing across Meadow Lake, their oarsmen rowing to the beat of Chinese drums. In addition to watching the 165 or so teams that have come from across the U.S. to take part in this year's race, families can listen to live music, catch martial arts demonstrations and munch on multicultural grub. All ages.
