Wave Hill's Hibernators' Pajama Pop-in weekend workshop

There's something about the concept of hibernation that intrigues kids, yet also makes a lot of sense to them. If there's no fun to be had in the winter, and no food to eat, what better way to skip out on the season than by sleeping right through it, like bears and all kinds of other creatures do? (Surely some of us wish we could do the same.) Wave Hill celebrated the phenomenon with its Hiberators Pajama Pop-In weekend on January 12–13. Kids, some of whom donned PJs to the event, made animal masks, fashioned winter dens, listened to tales about hibernation and enjoyed musician Jon Samson's songs about animals, winter and feeling sleepy. See if you can spot your little hibernator among the joyful "animals" we snapped pictures of this weekend.
