Legoland Discovery Center Westchester

While we loved all of the attractions at the new Legoland Discovery Center Westchester (the new spot opens to the public on Wednesday, March 27), we were most wowed by the area's Miniland. The exhibit, which took 20 Lego masters approximately six months to build, features Lego models of major New York City icons—and is pretty amazing! We guarantee your family will be in awe as they spot landmarks such as Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, Grand Central, Ellis Island, the Empire State Building and the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. Keep an eye out for the special New York touches—think entrances to subway stations, taxis in front of the Met, a news van near Rockefeller Center and a Lego billboard in Times Square.

Kids will also enjoy the interactive elements, including buttons that activate music playing at the Bandshell in Central Park and a pinball game built into a Lego baseball stadium. The final touch, lights that transform the city from day to night every minutes, completes the experience. Click through our slide show above to get a look at the Lego models.
