'Tis the season for NYC ice-skating: Van Cortlandt Park's rink opened last month, and we're excited to hear that the Battery Park City rink that shuttered in 2010 has been reincarnated in Robert F. Wagner Park as the Liberty View Rink. From now through mid-March, families can glide around the rink during designated two-hour-long public skate sessions (offered thorughout the day), figure-skating and hockey classes, and birthday parties. The best part? As the rink's name suggests, you'll enjoy marvelous views of Lady Liberty and New York Harbor as your little ones cut figure-eights on the ice. Liberty View Rink is located in Robert F. Wagner Park, Battery Pl between West St and 1st Pl (libertyviewicerink.com). The rink is open through mid-March. Mon–Thu 10am–9pm, Fri 10am–11pm, Sat 9am–10pm, Sun 9am–7pm. Mon–Thu $10, Fri–Sun $15; children under 13 $7, seniors $6 daily.
