If you live in NYC then odds are you’ve made your way to the famous Bronx Zoo. Even if you’re visiting, you’ve probably heard of it since it’s one of the largest zoos in America and takes up 265 acres. To enter, all guests must have a date-specific ticket. Masks are not required and proof of COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required to visit indoor exhibits. The exception is the zoo’s Wild Encounter programs, which their website explains may still require masks. We recommend bringing one just in case. Before your arrival, print your ticket or have it available on your mobile device to use at the self-scanning machines.

With all the amazing things to do in the city, it’s easy to plan summer activities for kids in NYC. Beautiful summer weather means it’s time to head outside, and there are hiking and biking opportunities galore. Hit the beach, head to a playground or enjoy one of the other varied outdoor activities the city has to offer. Sometimes it’s too hot, or summer showers make the outdoors unavailable, so there are classic summer options like arcades, laser tag and trampoline parks. Summer is also prime time for amusement parks, water parks and trips to family resorts. Whatever your kids are into, here are some of the best summer activities for kids to help you keep them entertained.
