    A new proposal may bring more public breastfeeding zones to NYC

    Great news for new moms—Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams is urging city council to create citywide Breastfeeding Empowerment Zones Though there are some decent places for breastfeeding in NYC, including playgrounds and specialized centers like Bed Stuy's Lactation Station, many think these spaces should be more readily available to NYC moms. As part of the Family Friendly Brooklyn initiative, Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams is working to expand the public breastfeeding zones for new parents, proposing that more public areas and private spaces in offices be designated for feeding and pumping. Though federal law requires offices to provide a private space for their employees to breastfeed, Adams hopes that encouragement of Breastfeeding Empowerment Zones (BFEZ) will provide moms with more easily-accessible and comfortable locations.     Grab the kids and head to Century 21 in NYC this weekend to meet Peppa and George from Nick Jr.’s hit show Peppa Pig Your kid's favorite pink piggy is coming to Century 21 in NYC for a fun-filled afternoon! Peppa and George of Nick Jr.'s TV series Peppa Pig will be making an appearance in the department store to celebrate the DVD launch of "Peppa Pig: Muddy Puddles." Be prepared for "Peppa-perfect" photo ops (bring your cameras!) plus "Peppa Pig: Muddy Puddles"-themed coloring activity sheets. Families also have a chance to win a Peppa Pig prize pack with toys, books and other fun surprises. Last, if you want to walk away with some other Peppa gear, there will be a full range of DVD releases available on-site for purchase.  While you're waiting, check out our favorite kids' apps, kids' movies on Netflix and the 50 best kids' movies to watch as a family.     If you haven’t seen these museum exhibits yet, now’s the time! All of the exhibits below are closing soon, so check ‘em out while you still can We love NYC museums as much as you do! Trust us when we say it's time to check out these  exhibits for kids before they're gone. At least it means our favorite institutions are making way for some cool new stuff, right? "Sesame Street presents The Body Exhibit" Explore the way the body works with help from Elmo, Oscar and the rest of the Sesame Street crew. At Liberty Science Center's newest exhibition, kids get schooled by their favorite characters on how different body parts function and learn ways to stay healthy through fun, hands-on activities.     Do your kids love ice cream? Of course they do! We need three NYC kids to help us out with an upcoming project—tell us why yours is the best pick for the job Do you have a charismatic kid who loves ice cream, having their picture taken and being on camera? Time Out New York Kids is putting together a fun ice cream feature and video, and we need your help! We are seeking three funny, outgoing kids ages 4-6 who will happily share their opinions on a variety of ice cream flavors.
