Donate shoes to Haiti at the JCC

    Fri Jan 22

Soles4Souls and the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan are collecting gently worn footwear to send to the earthquake victims in Haiti. With your tykes outgrowing their footwear every few months, you're sure to have a spare pair or two in the back of the closet. The drive starts today and ends February 1st, so you have a full week to drop off shoes (there's a collection bin in the lobby), along with a suggested $2 donation per pair to cover shipping costs. Or you can make an afternoon of it next Saturday, January 30 when you take advantage of the organization's Free Saturdays, three hours of family activities free of charge. With all that extra money in your pocket, you may just be able to give a little bit more to relief organizations aiding Haiti.
